About Us

With experience, drive and second to none customer service, you can rest assured your project is in safe hands with Nu-Look Renovations.

Who We Are

First established in 2005, Matt May first saw a gap in the market for high quality, value for money renovations. He also had the foresight to see a need to complete project management to assist home owners and investors through their renovations and has continued to build and grow Nu-Look Renovations in Canberra.

Matt and his team will go that extra mile to ensure clients receive the best designs, products and workmanship for what they’re paying for. Matt doesn’t believe in just doing the job so that it’s finished and he gets paid. He will provide ideas that will make the most of your home and investment property, (even if it means a bit more effort).

WHAT WE DO

Matt and his team have a wide range of skills and a broad understanding of building and renovations as a whole. Nu-Look Renovations has a unique knowledge of construction techniques in Canberra houses which means we are able to provide innovative solutions to make your renovation dreams a reality without compromising the high standards our customers have come to expect.

Matt’s dedicated to his strong team and loves working with them, for you… he will even serenade them whilst on jobs, so you can be sure of an entertaining experience.

WHY WE DO IT

We pride ourselves on the art of good, old fashioned customer service and every single member of our team is dedicated to achieving this goal. We won’t rip you off, talk you in circles or profess to be anything but what we are. We will always give you the right advice, regardless of whether you choose to use us for your renovation or not. And if we don’t know the answer to something, we are sure to have a contact who can provide the right advice.

In short, we don’t believe in the bull that is so often seen in our industry.

Finally, we are Canberra locals and believe in supporting local businesses and our communities. We take pride in supporting local businesses and giving back by supporting charities and events including Mix 106.3’s recent Special Children’s Christmas Party supporting Make-A-Wish.

Our Team

The Heart Of Nu-Look Renovations Is Our Core Team Who Are All Instrumental In Ensuring Your Project Is a Success

At Nu-Look Renovations, we believe in investing in our core team so we can offer a more committed, cost effective service with proactive communication at all times. This simple value often gets lost by big companies who employ lots of sub-contractors.

Our team are fully accredited and trained for your job. To deliver a comprehensive makeover to your kitchen or bathroom we employ a range of trades including cabinet makers, carpenters, plumbers and electricians to meet your project brief.

Josh – Carpenter
Originally starting out in the new housing constructions and extension industry, Josh prides himself in providing quality workmanship. He’s approachable, customer focused and has a formidable work ethic. He spends as much time as he can with his family and loves tending to his veggie garden.
Luke – Cabinet Maker & Joiner
Since joining the Nu-Look team, Luke has slotted in as if he’s been around since the beginning. He loves the variety of work that we do, including meeting some of our clients for the first time when he steps out to do our consultations and quotes. He loves a good home cooked meal and hanging with mates.
Brendan – Carpenter & Licenced Builder
Brendan has an eye for detail and is always keen to ensure our customer’s homes are kept neat and tidy at the end of the day. We love that he goes that little bit extra to help keep projects on the right track. When he’s not working, you can find him out in nature on camping trips and trail bike riding.
Jason – Tiler & waterproofing specialist
Jason has worked with Nu-Look Renovations from the very beginning. Coming from a trade related family, Jason is a master at tiling and waterproofing. Together with Matt, they form a formidable team when it comes to making sure your tiling is second to none.
